Vintage Black Cocktail Dress
Who didn’t admire Laura Petrie when she sang “That Mountain Greenery,” her hair just so, her cocktail dress the height of fashion. Here is your chance to slip into the role. This black and cream sleeveless 1960’s cocktail dress is made of sheer fabric embossed with black velvet flowers and leaves over a cream satin lining. At the waist are five thin black satin ribbons with three satin bows at center front. The front neckline is rounded; the back neckline is a modified “V.” This dress zips up the back and features a full circle skirt (perfect for those dances with Rob). The approximate measurements of the dress are: 39 ½” length; bust at widest is 36” (at darts = 32”); waist is 27”; hips (measuring underskirt) are 46” at widest point.
So invite over Sally and Buddy, tuck Richie in for the night and try not to burn the dinner. Oh, go ahead…invite Mel too. You might as well act as nice as you look.
